Reduce the risk Of Stillbirth

A study has revealed pregnant women who received a seasonal flu vaccine were less likely to experience a stillbirth than unvaccinated mums-to-be. Researchers in Australia came to the conclusion after analysing the data of nearly 60,000 births for a study published by the
Infectious Diseases Society of America.

The stillbirth risks were reduced by 51 per cent for mums who had been vaccinated. Louise Silverton of the Royal College of Midwives commented, “This study is really good news and shows how important the vaccine can be.”
